Alan Z. Goodman

    Creator and co-developer of many important training programs in the law enforcement world, Alan Goodman brings more than 30 years of both training and patrol experience to his seminar participants.  Having moved up the ranks from Police Officer to Deputy Inspector while achieving Masters Degrees in both criminal justice and training, Alan has presented seminars for law enforcement organizations, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Graduate School.  His seminar participants have come form a wide variety of federal and local law enforcement agencies, as well as the military.

     As part of his law enforcement career, Alan was a recruit instructor, the producer of in-service training, the director of the Ethical Awareness Workshop program and the Commanding Officer of the Police Cadet Corps.  A contributor to developing the Human Dignity in Policing program sponsored by the International Criminal Investigation Training Assistance Program of the United States Justice Department, Alan has also created The On Stage Workshop in Communication Skills (winning the New York City Police Foundation award for excellence) and a Teamwork and Leadership Seminar series for the NYPD.

     Alan is a certified police trainer by the New York State Bureau of Municipal Police and is certified to offer qualifying and in-service training to private security personnel.

    As an affiliate of the Institute for Global Ethics (IGE), an non-profit educational and research organization in Camden, Maine, Alan offers the Ethical Fitness Seminars tm using his Street Smart Ethics tm theme to give law enforcement, public safety, private security and other government personnel an effective survival tool for today's world.  Ethical Fitness Seminars tm are also available for any private groups or organizations.
